| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | ALIX (Apoptosis-linked gene 2 (ALG-2)-interacting protein X binds to endophilins, proteins that regulate membrane shape during endocytosis. Over-expression of ALIX and endophilins results in cytoplasmic vacuolization, which may be partly responsible for the protection against cell death. PDCD6IP (programmed cell death 6 interacting protein) interacts with PDCD6, a protein involved in apoptosis. It also participates in intraluminal endosomal vesicle biogenesis, viral budding and cytokinetic abscission. PDCD6IP is a part of the ESCRT (endosomal sorting complexes required for transport) machinery. |
