| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | ACOT7 (acyl-CoA thioesterase 7) is involved in fatty acid oxidation. It is a connecting link between metabolism of acyl-CoAs and cholesterol in neurons. Overexpression of this gene in macrophage cell line modulates the generation of prostaglandins D2 and E2, thereby making it a drug target in inflammatory diseases. ACOT7 has high specificity for arachido-258 noyl-CoA (AA-CoA). It might also be associated with mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (MTLE). |
