It improves the defects associated with the prepulse inhibition (PPI) and latent inhibition (LI) in mice lacking metabotropic glutamate receptor type 5 (mGluR5). Additionally, CX546 potentiates synaptic plasticity, elicits neuroprotection and promotes the neurotrophin expression. Positive AMPA glutamate receptor modulator. |
