Calcium chromate is used as a corrosion inhibitor and pigment. It is also used as a depolarizer in batteries and a metal coating and primer. Further, it is used in electroplating, photochemical processing and industrial waste treatment.

Incompatible with reducing agents, oxidizing agents, organic materials, flammable substances and metal powders.
