| General description【一般描述】 | Transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily V, member 5 (TRPV5) belongs to transient receptor potential (TRP) cation channels family. All TRP channels contain transmembrane helices and CaM (calmodulin) binding sites. TRPV5 is highly expressed in kidney, small intestine and pancreas. Low levels of TRPV5 are observed in testis, prostate, placenta, brain, colon and rectum. TRPV5 has also been reported in human parathyroid glands. The protein mianly localizes at the plasma membrane. |
