| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | Ribosomal proteins are implicated in mRNA recognition, tRNA recognition and decoding and nuclear export. It was shown together with nucleolin to bind to the 5′ untranslated region of p53 mRNA and to control p53 translation and induction after DNA damage. RPL26 (ribosomal protein L26) regulates the expression of p73. It plays an important role in translation and stability of ribosomes. RPL26 frameshift mutation can cause several physical abnormalities. |
