| General description【一般描述】 | The paired box 6 (PAX6) gene with 14 exons, is mapped to human chromosome 11p13. The encoded protein belongs to the paired-domain Pax family. PAX6 is a 422 amino acids protein, generally expressed in the developing eye, both in neuroectoderm and surface ectoderm. It is also present in the adult eye. |
