| General description【一般描述】 | Anti-p38 MAPK Antibody detects endogenous levels of total p38 MAPK protein. p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), also known as, mitogen-activated protein kinase 14 (MAPK14)/ p38α, is encoded by the gene mapped on human chromosome 6p21.31. The encoded protein is a Ser/Thr kinase composed of 90 to 360 residues. p38α MAPK is ubiquitously expressed. It is found in the cytosol, but it can translocate to the nucleus. |

Genetic variation in p38α leads to deletion or overproduction of myelosuppressive cytokines and result in certain bone marrow failure syndromes. |
