HOXB7 is a homebox protein that activates basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) in melanomas. It can also up-regulate various proangiogenic stimuli.
Rabbit Anti-HOXB7 (AB2) antibody recognizes bovine, human, mouse, and rat HOXB7.

Synthetic peptide directed towards the C terminal region of human HOXB7

Rabbit Anti-HOXB7 (AB2) antibody can be used for western blot applications at a concentration of 1.25 μg/ml.

HOXB7 belongs to the homeobox family. The homeobox genes encode a highly conserved family of transcription factors that play an important role in morphogenesis in all multicellular organisms. Mammals possess four similar homeobox gene clusters, HOXA, HOXBThis gene is a member of the Antp homeobox family and encodes a protein with a homeobox DNA-binding domain. It is included in a cluster of homeobox B genes located on chromosome 17. The encoded nuclear protein functions as a sequence-specific transcription factor that is involved in cell proliferation and differentiation. Increased expression of this gene is associated with some cases of melanoma and ovarian carcinoma.
