| General description【一般描述】 | CUGBP2 (ETR-3/NAPOR/BRUNOL3) is an RNA-binding protein, posttranscriptional controller of gene expression, that regulates key cellular responses such as apoptosis by binding to AU-rich sequences in the mRNA of important genes such as COX-2 and VEGF. CUGBP2 is a critical regulator of the apoptotic response to genotoxic injury in breast cancer cells and mitotic catastrophe response. |

Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. |
