UNG2 (uracil-DNA glycosylase) or cyclin O (CCNO) is a multifunctional glycosylase expressed in the nucleus. The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 5q11. CCNO is present in the apical cytoplasm of multiciliated cells.

UNG2 (uracil-DNA glycosylase) or CCNO (cyclin O) is responsible for the differentiation of multiciliated cells and has an important role in base excision repair. It participates in cell cycle and DNA repair. Mutations in this gene have been linked to congenital mucociliary clearance disorder. It is considered as an important enzyme in base excision repair (BER).
