It possesses an inositol-triphosphate binding domain, a channel-forming region and a regulatory region. ITPR1 is composed of 2749 amino acids. The gene ID for the protein is 25262.

Detects ~300 kDa. Does not recognize type 2 or type 3 IP3R′s.
